Rosneft made a major gas discovery in December 2020 in the Kara Sea offshore Russia, which it estimates as an 800 bcm resource. This is the latest find in that area, where 30 potential structures have been identified so far. The company says that the resources in that region could surpass those in the Middle East, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Brazilian Shelf.
