Al Yasat Petroleum, a joint venture between ADNOC Group and China National Petroleum Corporation, awarded a $744 million engineering, procurement, and construction contract to the UAE’s National Petroleum Construction Company for the full field development of the Belbazem offshore block in May 2021. The Belbazem block consists of three fields which are expected to produce 45,000 barrels per day of crude and 2 mcf per day of associated gas, with startup in 2023.
