Perenco bought 51% of Petrofac’s Mexican business in 2019, following the purchase of Petrofac’s 45% stake in Tunisia’s offshore Chergui field in 2018. Perenco has expanded its portfolio in the North African country since 2017. In 2018, it produced 10,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in Tunisia.
