Iran’s Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh aims to achieve “30% share of natural gas in the world energy mix by 2040.” Iran currently produces 750mn cubic metres per day, and aims to surpass 1bn cubic metres per day. NIGC also recently started construction on the Middle East’s largest gas storage tank, Torbati said.
