Scotland’s Weir Group has enjoyed a stellar start to 2018 with a 35% increase in orders for its oil and gas division – thanks in main to its exposure to the accelerating US tight oil business. But the firm has a respectable Middle East footprint and can be found from Saudi Arabia to Iraq. Weir nabs third place due to its raft of innovative solutions, including Weir Edge, its newly-branded aftermarket services programme which provides engineers in the field.
