Galfar Engineering & Contracting
Oman construction contractor Galfar Engineering & Contracting won a contract in February 2019 to work on a pipeline project by Punj Lloyd. The subcontract is valued at $1.9mn and includes erecting and installing piping for the natural gas liquid component of Fahud-Sohar pipeline. The project has a completion day of May 2019.
Punj Lloyd
India-listed Punj Lloyd inked a contract with Orpic and Oman Gas Company including the construction of two pipelines of different diametres each spanning 300km. Its entrance into the Middle East was in March 2013 with an award from Al Khafji Joint Operations.
MMEC Mannesmann
German EPC company MMEC Mannesmann in November 2018 opened an office in Abu Dhabi, pointing to a potential increase in regional partnerships. It won the EPC turnkey contract for ADNOC Sour Gas’ Sulphur Pipeline Project, which entails installing the entire pipeline system.
