Gulfsands increases Syrian production

UK oil explorer says its on track to hit 16,000 bpd by end of 2009

The UK-based exploration and development company said that the expanded facility now has a capacity of around 18,000 barrels of fluid per day (bfpd).

Oil production from the Syrian field has also increased from 10,730 barrels per day (bpd) to 14,700 bpd.

“With production well KHE-11 yet to come on stream, we remain on track to achieve our target of producing 16,000 bpd by the end of the year,” Gulfsands’ CEO, Ric Malcolm, said.
