Oman exported 3.81mn metric tonnes (MT) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the first half of the year, Muscat Daily reports.
Some 2.42mn MT were shipped by Oman LNG and 1.39mn MT were exported by Qalhat LNG, the Sultanate’s two main exporters of LNG.
Statistics published by the Ministry of Oil and Gas showed that a total of 60 consignments (39 by Oman LNG and 21 by Qalhat LNG) were exported between January and June.
South Korea, Japan and Spain were cited as some of the Sultanate’s main importers of the product.
