Finding the future

Our decisions today will impact the oil and gas industry’s future and longevity

Finding the future
Finding the future

We all know what’s at stake if we don’t evolve and adapt to the market landscape. The oil and gas sector has to be a part of the solution to climate change, and technology will play a major role in its success. That’s why the cover story this month’s magazine features Norm Gilsdorf from Honeywell, who explains how technology providers can empower oil and gas companies to boost efficiency and sustainability. But he also understands that technology providers must take steps to ensure that their own sustainability standards are in place, and that technology development is notcarbon-intensive.

Following with our theme of looking ahead to the future, we are unveiling our inaugural list of the Next Generation of Oil & Gas Leaders, featuring impressive young professionals who have already made a mark on the industry. We will need digital-savvy, innovative and
ambitious minds to navigate the energy transition and find news ways to solve problems. The list is not comprehensive, but it offers a small
peek into the wealth of talent that exists in our industry, and we hope to expand it further as time goes on.

We cannot afford to simply focus on “now”. Executives must make choices in the best interest of the company’s future (and the industry’s future) if they hope to be a part of it.
