What is your company’s scope of business within the oil and gas industry?
Byrne Equipment Rental is a supplier of rental equipment across the GCC, with 14 operational bases, a fleet of almost 10,000 items of plant, and a team of 800-plus people.
We offer equipment rental solutions to a broad variety of sectors, including oil and gas, civil construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, marine, and the leisure and tourism industries.
Our product range is built upon Byrne’s one-stop-shop model, satisfying our customers’ requirements in all segments of trade and industry. We work hard to ensure that our rental fleet is constantly updated to carry the latest and most efficient brands of equipment.
The group’s corporate vision is to become the largest provider of equipment rental and lease in the GCC. To support this we continuously add products to our portfolio in order to further broaden our appeal and enable operational efficiency through our equipment rental and lease solutions.
In which countries in the Middle East are you most active, and how do you plan to expand your reach in the region?
Byrne Equipment Rental’s key markets are all within the six GCC countries. We have 14 offices and equipment support facilities across the region with more than 800 personnel, and we have a presence in all key oil and gas support location hubs, making our equipment easily available for our oil and gas customers.
Why did you decide to participate in ADIPEC 2017?
We have previously participated at ADIPEC as we see it as the main meeting place of the oil and gas industry for the region. It presents us with our best opportunity to meet and engage with the wider industry, introduce new products and services, and learn about trends and activity in the markets we serve. This, in turn, allows us to learn about the challenges that the industry faces and to see what solutions we can develop to address these challenges for both new and existing clients.
What will you be showcasing at ADIPEC this year?
We will be showcasing new products and services, including a walk-through illustration of our new industry offering – an expat housing complex near Ruwais in Abu Dhabi. This is in addition to the new equipment types that we have recently added to our oil and gas rental fleet portfolio, including material handling and lifting equipment, hoists and access platforms, ATEX electrical lighting and power distribution equipment, and inflatable habitats.
