Saudi Aramco has engaged in discussions with numerous Turkish contractors to explore potential projects worth $50 billion in Saudi Arabia, according to a Bloomberg report last week

Representatives from around 80 construction companies met with Aramco executives in Ankara to discuss pre-qualification for upcoming projects scheduled until 2025, Erdal Eren, head of the Turkish Contractors Association, told Bloomberg. The projects include refinery, pipeline, and infrastructure construction, along with management buildings.

Aramco plans to compile a list of qualified contractors for future tenders, and further meetings between the two parties are expected to take place in Saudi Arabia.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has prioritized reconstruction efforts in earthquake-devastated cities and aims to strengthen economic and defense ties with Saudi Arabia.
