Sharjah-based Technomak Energy International has revealed plans to double its manufacturing capacity by taking over larger premises at the Hamriyah Free Zone.

The company said it has added 1.1mn square feet area to its existing facility of 1.3mn square feet to meet the increasing global demand for its products.

Construction of the $75mn facility will commence immediately and is likely to create up to 800 new jobs, it added in a statement.

Technomak is well-known in the oil and gas, power and water, offshore and marine, metallurgy industry as a leading player in the field of structural, piping, pressure vessels, skids and offshore structures.

“We are going to double our manufacturing capacity by taking up larger facilities to accommodate the company’s growth”, said Mohammed Haneefa, managing director of Technomak Energy International after signing a contract with Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) and Sharjah Airport Free Zone (SAIF Zone).

“The continuous investment by Technomak in HamriyahFreezone shows their confidence and edge in market in production, safety and quality. We are happy to see the growth of existing companies and this development is reassuring”, said Al Mazrouei.

Haneefa added: “This new investment will help to strengthen Technomak’s position and expand its offering. Currently we have a market reach from the Americas to the Far East and we want to double our capacity by 2017.”
