Danish well technology firm Welltec is aiming for 50% overall regional growth over the next year.
The company is promoting its range of well tools, with an emphasis on lightweight equipment, high HSE standards and solutions that require fewer people on site. The firm has recently developed a web angular barrier device which expands down-hole to prevent unwanted gas or liquid leakage while drilling.
Welltec has been expanding in the Middle East, serving Saudi Aramco, Adco and Zadco in its core markets of Saudi, Oman and the UAE. Welltec is looking to enter Iraq depending on the security situation.
