Yemen’s key Ma’rib pipeline is back on-line after yet another attack, reports the Yemen Post.
The pipeline, which carries crude oil from Ma’arib and Shabwa to the Ras Isa terminal in Hodeida province, was attacked last Monday by saboteurs in Kilo 27 in Wadi Hadramout. The government has since reported that the pipeline and is now looking for the culprits.
Last week’s attack was the second since the pipeline was fixed in mid-July after a four-month suspension due to sabotage by tribes disgruntled with the regime of President Saleh in March.
Yemen’s production averaged 280,000 barrels per day in 2010. The Ma’rib pipeline stretches for 438 km and has a capacity of 200,000 parrels per day.
