Oman said that its total exports of crude oil stood at 243,689,900 barrels during the first eleven months of 2010 against 222,139,700 barrels during the same period in 2009, constituting a 9.7% rise.
The monthly statistical bulletin published by the National Economy Ministry pointed out that the Sultanate”s total production of crude oil and condensates stood at 288,127,100 barrels by the end of November 2010 against 270,404,000 barrels during the same period in 2009, constituting a 6.6%, rise.
The average daily production stood at 862,700 barrels during the first eleven months of 2010 against 809,600 barrels during the same period in 2009, constituting a 6.6%, rise. The bulletin said that the average price of Oman oil barrel rose by 38.3% at the end of November 2010 to US$ 72.28 per barrel against $55.15 per barrel during the same period in 2009.
China was the topmost importer of Omani oil with 100,347,700 barrels bought at the end of November 2010 against 70,815,000 barrels during the same period in 2009, constituting a 41.7% rise.
Japan came second; as it imported 34,920,600 barrels during the first eleven months of 2010 against 34,629,600 barrels, constituting a 0.8% rise.
Thailand came third as it imported 27,233,400 barrels against 31,040,500 barrels during the same period in 2009, constituting a 12.3% decline.
The Sultanate”s production of natural gas rose by 7% to 1,070,590 million cubic feet (MCF) at the end of November 2010 against 1,000,930 MCF during the same period in 2009. Gas consumption rose by 7.3% to 1,073,506 MCF by the end of November 2010 against 1,000,629 MCF during the same period in 2009.
