AlMansoori Specialized Engineering garnered the much-coveted status of being the Middle East Oil Field Service Provider of The Year at this year’s Oil & Gas Middle East awards on Tuesday at the Westin hotel in Dubai.
The Middle East’s leading provider of oilfield services founded in Abu Dhabi in 1977, has grown to employ a workforce of 1,300 across 19 countries throughout the world.
Although the company’s activities are predominantly based in the Middle East, it is continually expanding its operations in North Africa, Far East and South East Asia as well as North America and the North Sea region through a number of acquisitions and joint ventures with a number of internationally recognised companies.

JV with Key Energy
American-based onshore energy production services company Key Energy Services signed an agreement with AlMansoori in March. The joint venture saw Houston-born Key Energy Services establish a base in the Middle East for the first time, with AlMansoori’s unrivalled reputation in the region clinching the deal. The joint venture brings several new services to AlMansoori’s capabilities in coil tubing, workover rigs, pumping/cementing, fracturing and acidising.
JV Versa Rig
Also in March, AlMansoori launched its new AlMansoori Hydraulic Workover Services division. A JV with American Troy Rodger saw AlMansoori bring the next generation of hydraulic workover to the Middle East for the first time.
The versatile rig can be used for a range of workover services including underbalanced and directional drilling, live well intervention, completion and well control services as well as the ability to replace ESP pump due to its travelling systems. The rig is fully operated and controlled through hydraulic controls and capable of working depths up to 18,000 feet.
Neptune chooses AlMansoori as UAE agent
Australia’s leading providers of engineered solutions to the international oil and gas, marine and renewable energy industries appointed AlMansoori in November as its agent for the UAE. One of its key products, the patented NEPSYS dry underwater welding repair method, will be introduced by AlMansoori to the Middle East. Ideally suited to the repair of jacket structures and pipelines as part of a life extension programme, NEPSYS can also be used for subsea modification work. It presents a clear advantage in terms of cost and impact on operations when compared to more conventional welding methods such as hyperbaric chambers.
