Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has awarded a US$800 million, seven-year engineering and maintenance services contract (EMC) to the joint venture between Wood Group and Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) set up to provide operations and maintenance services for the oil and gas and petrochemicals industries in Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Yemen.
The contract, which has a three year extension option, will include integrated engineering, construction, maintenance and support services for existing PDO facilities onshore in Southern Oman.

Over the next 10 years it is estimated that there will be $600 billion of investment in oil and gas and petrochemical plants in the region with a need for ongoing operations and maintenance support.
