At the SAOGE Magnatech International BV was drawing in the crowds over to the stand of its local agent, Pan Gulf Welding Solutions on day one of the SAOGE conference and exhibition in Dammam, Saudi Arabia with a full cross-country pipe-welding solution available for close inspection.
Ralph Wijnholds, managing director of Magnatech said this was the company’s first presence at SAOGE, and that he felt an upswing in Middle Eastern business was around the corner, and SAOGE 2010 was the right vehicle to meet clients in Saudi Arabia.
“The momentum of business is very much on an upswing here in the Middle East. I think from the end of summer to year end this will prove a very active period, especially in the oil and gas sectors. We have the early indicators already, in the large volume of enquiries,” said Wijnhold.
The company currently has agency agreements around the Gulf, but the managing director said that in time it would like a more permanent base in the Middle East, possibly in the UAE.
“Our goal is to provide solutions that will increase pipe welding productivity and quality to customers. From welder training and timely service to technical assistance, we draw upon years of knowledge in order to provide precision products and achieve our goal of complete customer satisfaction,” said Wijnhold.
