Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) denied the news reports that the company’s chief executive officer, Sa’ad Al Shuwayeb and three seniors have submitted their resignation to Oil Minister and Information Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, saying these reports were “unfounded and baseless”.

KPC said in a statement quoting an official as saying in a press statement that “all said officials are currently engaged in their work and responsibilities entrusted to them routinely, while stressing that in the event of any resignation, KPC will not hesitate to confirm this and make it public in accordance with the principle of transparency, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

KPC called on the media to investigate the accuracy of some of what is published on the oil sector, considering that some of the news negatively affects the work in this vital sector.
