Sierra Monitor has announced the first shipment of life safety gas and flame monitoring equipment for use by the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO). The products will be used to replace aging fire and gas detection systems at three on-shore locations in the Bab Field. The Bab Field area of Abu Dhabi, which produces over 1.4 million barrels of oil per day, accounts for more than half of the oil production by the United Arab Emirates.
“Our confidence in the market for our products in the Middle East is reinforced by this opportunity to sell US manufactured gas detection products to a prestige user such as ADCO”, said Gordon Arnold, Sierra Monitor president and chief executive officer.
