The state-owned hydrocarbons giant Saudi Aramco has said that it has raised its February selling prices for lower sulphur oil grades to the US.
Bloomberg reported that Aramco will increase the price of its lighter oil by US$0.20 next month compared to January
Prices on European shipments have also been raised for February while crude sent to Asian refiners have been lowered.
Aramco has changed it crude pricing recently to reflect the Argus Sour Crude Index from West Texas Intermediate.
Due to OPEC production cuts Saudi Arabia is still producing around 4 million barrels per day (bpd) less than its capacity of 12 million bpd.
