Al Waha starts commissioning PP plant in the KSA

New facility in Jubail will produce 450,000 mtpa of polyproylene

The new facilty will produce 460,000 metric tonnes per annum (mtpa) of propylene which will be then used as a feedstock for the production of 450,000 mtpa of polypropylene.

 
The company said that the project will makes use of the availability of propane as a feedstock and nearby facilities in Al-Jubail. Al Waha also said that it will sell the polypropylene on both regional and international markets.

Al Waha is a joint venture between Sahara Petrochemicals (75%) and Lyondell Basell (25%).
