Iraq’s oil minister has said that the second round of auctions for the country’s oil and gas fields will take place in early December.

News agency AFP reported that Dr Hussein al-Shahristani said that Baghdad wanted the auctions to be completed before the parliamentary elections take place in January.

Most reports have said that the auctions were to take place in November.
