Oman unveils US$7.8 billion spending plans

Gulf state to invest massively in power and water between now and 2015

 Oman’s utilities chief has said that the Gulf state is planning to spend about US$7.8 billion between now and 2015 on a number of water and power projects.

Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Mahrouqi, who is in charge of Oman’s water and power authority also said that the tender process for the Marbat power and desalination plant in the country was almost complete.
