Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) has announced that it has signed a $402 million engineering procurement & construction (EPC) agreement for the Integrated Gas Development (IGD) – Habshan Platform (IGD-HAP) with the UAE-based  National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC)

IGD-HAP  is the offshore package of the IGD and is being developed by the state-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to process the Emirate’s large gas reserves.

The IGD-HAP project involves offshore drilling of additional gas wells and constructing a processing platform at Umm Shaif for gas dehydration and transfer to Das Island. The transfer will be through the new 38 km main gas line.

“This challenge would not have been met but for the support of ADNOC to utilise the best prevailing market conditions as golden opportunity for investment,” Ali Al-Jarwan, ADMA-OPCO GM said.

The engineering, procurement and fabrication works are scheduled for completion by mid 2012, well in time to meet the downstream projects.
