Drilling and completions can account for over 50% of costs in some field developments and drilling environments are becoming increasingly more challenging. Although the sector is achieving tasks in exploration and production (E&P) that would have been unthinkable 20 years ago, finding and producing oil and gas is becoming more difficult technically, economically and environmentally, meaning risks and costs are rising and so the need for new drilling technologies and techniques has become acute.
To address these critical issues, and by bringing together the region’s best drilling expertise, ITP Events & Conferences have arranged a unique single-day forum in Abu Dhabi, attracting major players from the entire drilling spectrum.
“This event provides a platform for drilling professionals to learn from the best as regional oil and gas operators showcase and celebrate their latest drilling achievements,” explained Kimon Alexandrou, ITP’s director of conferences, marketing and events.
“The Advanced Drilling Showcase in Abu Dhabi will assemble operators and contractors from this region, and around the world, to share practical case studies, real-life field experiences and cost-effective new technologies applicable and unique to the region.”
The event is being held at Le Royal Meridien in Abu Dhabi at the end of May, and will feature David Ringrose, drilling and engineering team leader for ADMA, Hatem Al Saggaf, drilling supervisor at Saudi Aramco, and Abdullah Al Qadi, director of upstream operations for Crescent Petroleum among the expert line-up of speakers and panellists.
