The Abu Dhabi Course of the GE Oil & Gas University kicked off in January and runs through to February 24 at The Petroleum Institute. The programme is hailed as a global learning experience for professionals in the oil and gas sector. A similar programme was being held in Doha, Qatar, from January 11, 2009.
The Abu Dhabi Course has been specifically tailored to provide participants with managerial and technical information that will further consolidate their expertise in the oil and gas sector.
Experts from GE, as well as professional associates, will cover various aspects of the energy industry, including energy sources, exploration, production and utilisation.
The course, with a maximum of 30 participants, will be a value-added learning programme for employees of ADNOC and its affiliated companies and subsidiaries, and will aim to infuse a new wave of thinking to address modern-day challenges faced by the energy sector.

By bringing the GE Oil & Gas University here for the first time, we are reiterating our commitment to further strengthen our relationship with the Emirati industry, contributing to the development of the domain expertise and skills of its professionals,” explained Mohammed Ayoub, operations leader – region general manager, GE Oil & Gas.

The Abu Dhabi course will consist of a six-week programme, to be held from 8am to 2pm, five days a week, and will focus on three core modules: Leadership, energy and oil and gas processes and rotating equipment.
