RasGas has signed an equity participation agreement with CPC Corporation of Taiwan (CPC), the company has disclosed. The signing ceremony held recently at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Doha was attended by over 50 representatives and officials from Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil, RasGas and CPC.
“Today we add another important milestone in the long term relationship between our two companies. CPC, through its wholly owned subsidiary, will join Ras Laffan LNG II as a Series B Shareholder for twenty-five years. I take this opportunity to offer my sincere congratulations to Chairman Pan and the CPC delegation as well as our negotiating team for successfully and satisfactorily closing this transaction with CPC,” said HE Minister Al Attiyah.
RasGas first signed an exclusive Heads of Agreement in 2003 with CPC to supply 3 million tonnes of LNG per annum for a period of 25 years on a free on board (FOB) basis commencing 2008.
