The Malaysian subsidiary of Noble Denton, an offshore and marine consultant, has been awarded a license by Petronas.
The license is a pre-qualification measure, which allows Noble Denton to bid for marine consulting and risk assessment contracts.
“Nobel Denton Malaysia can now integrate itself with the oil and gas industry of Malaysia, as we can function as an independent company for Petronas. We are proud to have acquired this Malaysian license,” said Magnus Thyri Kise, Technical Director, NDSMB.
“We can operate without [the license], but have to use different agents every time, meaning money is lost along the way. The license helps to cut down response time and generate more efficiency”.
“A major positive is that when you have a license everyone who issues an invitation to bid needs to send it to all license holders for that kind of work. Already after receiving the license I have got four major invitations to bid.”
