Bibby Offshore, a subsea services provider to the oil and gas industry, has secured a two-phase multi-million dollar contract with a leading oil and gas and production company.
The contract, awarded in April, will see Bibby Offshore carry out inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services across a number of the operator’s North Sea assets. Engineering work for this project has started, with the initial offshore phase due to commence in Q2 this year and a further campaign scheduled for Q3.
Bibby Offshore’s multi-role diving support vessel, Bibby Topaz, will be the primary vessel utilised to carry out the base work scope, with the company’s multi-purpose dive support and offshore construction vessel, Bibby Polaris, utilised to support activities if required.
Howard Woodcock, CEO of Bibby Offshore, said: “Our experience, skilled team has worked closely on these assets previously, successfully completing IRM activities through a 365 contract.
“This type of IRM service is at the core of our business and always receives close attention to ensure we deliver a high level of service for our clients.”
Bibby Offshore is headquartered in Aberdeen and offers project management, engineering, procurement and subsea intervention services to construct, maintain and extend the life of subsea oil fields. Last year, the firm worked alongside Abu Dhabi’s TAQA on a project in the North Sea.
