NPCC snares EPC contract from India’s ONGC

The deal is worth $327mn and involves the fabrication of five offshore platforms.

UAE based National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), part of Senaat Abu Dhabi, has won an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from India’s ONGC for five well platforms and a pipeline in the Ratna field off the west coast of Mumbai.

Senaat Abu Dhabi owns 70% of the company, while the rest is owned by the Consolidated Contractors Company. The EPC contract award is worth around $327mn and contributes to the offshore oil and gas infrastructure development programme on India’s west coast.

The deal includes survey, design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, load out, transportation, installation and commissioning of five well platforms and associated pipelines and cables.

NPCC has over 1,200 engineers based in its engineering centres in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and La Ciotat, capable of providing a full range of engineering solutions across all disciplines.

It also owns a fleet of 22 offshore vessels to support its offshore operations, which can operate in depths from 10 metres to 2,000 metres, and owns a fabrication yard in Abu Dhabi covering an area of 1.3mn square metres.
