What are the main products/services that you provide to the oil and gas industry?
Bauer Kompressoren is a manufacturer of high pressure compressors and nitrogen generators. We are of the opinion that the lowest point of the cycle was seen in 2016. The year 2017 has started with a lot of new opportunities and many of the ‘projects on hold’ are being discussed towards finalisation.
How would you say was business for your company in 2016? What do you plan to achieve in 2017?
Learning from 2016, we have shifted our focus on other industries as well. Although our primary interest lies in the oil and gas market, we are carrying out road shows, seminars and compressor health checks in other segments like government, chemical and fertiliser industry, fire and safety and construction. For the year 2017, we anticipate high demand in the oil and gas upstream business. Fire and safety will be influential as well this year. The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is the most important thing when a customer buys any product. We stand apart from the other manufacturers because TCO for our products is low.
Tell us about a specific service that stands out from the rest?
Bauer has always been keen to adapt to the latest technologies. We have developed a mobile app called ‘B-APP’, which customers can download on their cellphones. You can monitor performance of your compressor on your mobile any time. You can even start or stop the unit with this app.
