The Dubai Government-owned Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has announced its intention of recruiting young UAE nationals in core oil and gas specialisations to support the company’s growth strategy.

These job prospects span a range of categories, including finance, marketing, HR and administration, operations and maintenance, engineering, environment, health and safety, quality and audit, customer services and communications.

“Through our participation at Careers UAE we underline our commitment to achieve the Emiratisation goals set by the UAE Government and support the 2021 National Agenda announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to promote education and job creation for Emiratis,” Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC has said.

“The energy sector globally is one of the most incentivised with a valuable role to play in a nation’s economy. We believe that human capital development is vital to sustaining our economic growth,” Al Falasi was quoted in a press release as saying.

As part of its commitment to raising awareness about training and development programmes to advance the UAE’s talent pool, ENOC has revamped its National Development Programme in line with its Emiratisation strategy to include three levels Tatweer, Mawaheb and Imtiaz that aim to develop functional, technical, behavioural and managerial competencies.

In 2016, the Group launched a Technical Training Programme in collaboration with a number of academic institutes including Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) and ADVETI for Emiratis to build their technical competencies, and 15 students from ADVETI have successfully completed the On-Job Training programme in March.

Furthermore, 15 trainees will join the operations in December after completing their Technical Training Programme in HCT.
