Saudi Aramco extended charter contract for two jackup rigs of Noble Corporation with another five years.

According to the contract, the charter of platform Noble Roger Lewis was extended to March 2022, while the charter of Noble Scott Marks rig was extended to July 2022. The dayrates of extension were lowered from $167,000 to $159,000. The contract extension provides financial stability of the Noble Corporation, which currently has nine idle platform rigs, including five warm stacked and four cold stacked, affecting the liquidity of the company and its finance sheet.

Noble Corporation projected anticipate +/-15 days of operational downtime at zero dayrate for regulatory inspection in Q1 2017 for Noble Roger Lewis, as well as +/-20 days of operational downtime at zero dayrate for maintenance/repairs for Noble Scott Marks.
