Oman’s September oil production drops to 30.1mn

Oman’s crude oil production marginally fell by 0.92% in September to 30.1mn barrels, according to the monthly report issued by the Sultanate’s Ministry of Oil and Gas.

During September, Oman exported a total of 24.95mn barrels (831,743 bpd), showing a 0.15% increase compared to August 2016, according to the report.

Exports to China recorded a sharp fall compared to August, where 66.79% of the total production was exported, making a 14.51% decrease from the previous month. The United States imported 11.85% of the total Omani output, taking second place after China.

Japan also recorded an increase in import, registering a 5.7% increase compared to August.

South Korea became renewed transactions after stopping imports in August, and imported 8.02% of the total production in September, while the Taiwan’s imports dropped by 3.27%, recording a 4.01% share of the total Omani crude oil exports.
