The Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) announced the appointment of Nader Al Fardan as director – Gas Business, ENOC & General Manager of Emirates Gas (EMGAS).
In his new role, Fardan will spearhead EMGAS management, playing a strategic role in driving the company’s expansion plans. His appointment comes at a time when EMGAS is pressing ahead with its expansion plans abroad, as well as consolidating its position in the UAE market as the leading supplier of LPG and propane.
Al Fardan assumes his role as general manager after a successful tenure as ENOC’s director of Industrial Products Marketing, where he was behind implementing the new regulations for distributing better quality diesel, which now has 10 parts permn (ppm) down from 500 ppm.
The introduction of this product has environmental benefits, including lower emissions and better air quality.
“We are pleased to welcome Nader Al Fardan in his new leadership role. He has always been an important asset to ENOC as a Group and has played a key role in the implementation of regulations to ensure the distribution of ultra-low sulphur diesel,” Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of ENOC Group, was quoted in a press release as saying.
“With EMGAS’s strong presence that spans over four decades, I am confident that Al Fardan will be able to steer the EMGAS team in realising its plans for 2016, which include aspects of growth, expansion and innovation,” Falasi said.
A management graduate from Northwood University, USA, Fardan has over 16 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has built his career in product marketing, and was at the forefront of introducing new products and services, like the new generation valves and regulators in cylinders.
