State oil giant Saudi Aramco reportedly reduced the number of its workplace injuries by over 40% in 2014, it has been revealed.
The company, which follows stringent health and safety guidelines, reported a 44% reduction in workplace injuries in 2014, compared to its 2013 figures.
Aramco filed 0.42 road accident cases for every 200,000 hours in 2014.
This figure was 29% lower than its 2013 statistics.
The company also completed 6.5mn man hours without major injuries at its gas plant, according to local daily, The Saudi Gazette.
Saudi registered more than 69,000 work injuries in nine economic sectors in 2014, with the construction sector accounting for 51.35% of the total.Â
