Ramboll to assess ZADCO pipelines in Zakum field

Firm will undertake integrity studies for 15 pipelines in Abu Dhabi

Ramboll Oil & Gas has been awarded a contract by Zakum Development Company (ZADCO) to undertake integrity studies for 15 pipelines in the Zakum field in Abu Dhabi.

ZADCO will use the results to determine which pipelines need maintenance work or may need to be replaced in the future.

As part of the contract Ramboll will provide pipeline date, information about the integrity of the pipelines and an assessment about the pipelines’ future operations.

“ZADCO is an important client for Ramboll and we have been working closely with ZADCO for several years. With this contract, we hope to bring our collaboration to the next level and further showcase our expertise within the field of lifetime extension,” said Jesper Thomsen, director, Abu Dhabi branch, Ramboll Oil & Gas Middle East.

He added: “This project falls very much in line with our strategy to pursue asset integrity specialist services, starting with jackets and pipelines, where we have some very capable resources.”
