Global staffing provider Worldwide Recruitment Solutions (WRS) Ltd have appointed Karim Abdellaoui to head up Business Development in the Middle East region.
Abdellaoui, who will be based at WRS’ regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi, has over 10 years of experience within recruitment, in particular within oil and gas, having previously worked as a Regional Manager for a major competitor.
Abdellaoui, who originally hails from the UK, has been living and working in the United Arab Emirates for over 8 years.
Abdellaoui joins WRS’ regional director Shabana Jawaid, who will be working closely with him to develop WRS’ presence in the region.
The Abu Dhabi office opened in summer 2015, and has already made significant headway in the region, having won a number of contracts with major operators in the Middle East.
“I’m extremely pleased to be joined by Karim, strengthening our Management team here in the UAE following the appointment of Donna Watson in late 2015 as the head of our Managed Services division. Karim is a talented professional with a wealth of experience in winning and developing business, so I’m sure he will be as successful here at WRS as he has been at his previous companies,” Jawaid said.
“We have big plans for the Gulf region in 2016, and Karim is set to play a large role in delivering the projects we have in the pipeline,” Jawaid said.
