Oil exports from south Iraq hit 3.27mn bpd

Total fell just short of November’s record numbers

Exports from Iraq’s southern fields produced near record numbers in December, with an average of 3.27mn barrels of oil shipped each day.

The figures have been compiled by data tracked by Reuters and an industry source.

December’s total fell just short of the record of 3.37mn bpd reached in November – which Iraqi officials said was unusually high as it included some tankers delayed from the previous month, said the Reuters report

“These are very strong numbers, although I do wonder if they are running close to the limit of pipeline capacity,” said the source, who monitors Iraq’s shipments.
