Bristol Gases launches production unit in Dubai

Company opens 'UAE's first' in Al Quoz, Dubai manufacturing non-refillable gas cylinders

Bristol Gases has launched in Dubai what it calls ‘the UAE’s first manufacturing plant producing non-refillable gas cylinders’.

The company has now progressed from stocking and trading of LPG cylinders into fully-fledged production at its newly expanded laboratory and production facility in Al Quoz, Dubai.

‘A product classified as ‘dangerous’ is now produced locally, at the first of its kind filling facility and laboratory for disposable cylinders, lessening the need for a complicated global logistics process’, the company said in a statement.

The opening of the new facility is part of an expansion plan of the company, part of the Concorde-Corodex Group.

“We made the decision to expand into production here in Dubai because of its pivotal geographical location. This positions Bristol Gases as a key supplier in the entire region and beyond, expanding our capability to supply within the UAE, as well as GCC and Asian countries,” Mark McCann, Business Unit Manager, Bristol Gases, said.

“We’re proud to say that ours is the first filling facility and laboratory for disposable cylinders. We also plan to have hubs in Singapore and Australia for global customers,” McCann said.

Bristol Gases has been a supplier to the oil and gas, chemical, laboratory and the marine sector locally and globally, and caters to companies including ADNOC, ENOC, Baker Hughes and Schlumberger.

Bristol Gases offers a range of industrial and specialty gases for large number of industrial, medical, marine, oil and gas, and R&D applications. Beside gases, Bristol supplies gas-related equipment.
