Oman crude output falls to 30mn barrels in October

The average daily crude oil production stood at 966,203 barrels, according to the Sultanate's Ministry of Oil and Gas

Oman’s production of crude oil and condensates stood at 29.95mn barrels in October this year, which indicates a fall of 2.41% compared to the previous month.

The average daily crude oil production stood at 966,203 barrels, said a monthly report released by the Sultanate’s Ministry of Oil and Gas on Sunday.

Similarly, the total crude oil exports of the country were 25.39mn barrels, which was equivalent to 819,013 barrels per day (bpd), indicating a fall of 7.46% compared to the previous month.

Asian markets imported a major chunk of the Sultanate’s crude oil. China continued to maintain its lead among top importers of Omani Crude for October 2015, with a share of 68%. However, the import of China has declined by 26.34% in October, compared to the previous month.

But Singapore’s imports grew by 20.08%, over the previous month. Likewise, imports of Japan and Thailand also grew.

In the Asian market, Oman Crude in the Dubai Mercantile Exchange in future contract was fluctuating in October, like other markets in the world.
