Oman’s production of super (95) petrol during the first three quarters of 2015 has increased by 5.5%, Muscat Daily reports.
Oman’s output of super (95) petrol rose to 17.03mn barrels from 16.15mn barrels a year earlier, according to the country’s National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) data.
Regular (90) petrol output during the period, however, declined by 40.8% to 1.63mn barrels from 2.75mn barrels.
The same period recorded a 2.1% output growth for the entire range of petroleum and petrochemical products including petrol, jet fuel, gas and fuel oils, LPG, naphtha, propylene, long residual and other fuels.
Aviation fuel recorded a 3.6% rise in production to 3.71mn barrels, while diesel output touched 16.23mn barrels as against 14.29mn barrels last year, marking a 15.7% growth. Fuel oil on the other hand dropped four per cent to 1.77mn barrels from 1.84mn barrels.
LPG production, meanwhile, fell by 5% to 2.67mn barrels in the first nine months as against 2.81mn barrels last year, NCSI figures revealed.
Propylene and naphtha logged a 1% and 6.5% growth in production with output reaching 1.95mn and 2.83mn barrels, respectively.
