Saipem bags $680mn EPCI contracts from Aramco, Eni

Company to work in Saudi Arabia for Aramco and in Angola for Eni

Italy’s Saipem has announced that it has won offshore EPCI projects worth $680mn by Saudi Aramco and Italy’s Eni.

The company said that the EPCI contract awarded by Saudi Aramco, involves the engineering, procurement, transportation and installation of offshore structures including observation platform, wellhead production deck module, auxiliary platforms, 20 inches internally cladded flowline and composite power cable. Offshore installation activities will be performed by Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, the Italian oilfield services provider has won an EPCI contract awarded by Eni for Block 15/06 – East Hub Development Project, located approximately 350km north-west of Luanda, Angola.

The scope of works includes the provision of 5 flexible risers and 20km of rigid flowlines, as well as installing SURF facilities which include umbilical sections, rigid spools, well jumpers and 14 PLETs to be fabricated in Angola. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.
