Iraq is seeking nearly 4.45mn tonnes of oil products for delivery in 2016, Reuters reports.
According to a tender document released on Monday, The State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) is seeking 2.43mn tonnes of 95-octane gasoline, 1.836mn tonnes of 500ppm sulphur gasoil and 180,000 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for delivery over the 1st of January to 31st of December.
The tender closes on the 13th of October, with offers to remain valid for 20 days.
Iraq’s oil exports for September fell to an average of 3.052mn barrels per day (bpd), down from 3.078mn bpd in August, according to a report from Reuters said on Monday.
Of this volume, 3.03mn bpd were transported from the southern ports, with only 22,000 bpd coming from the north of the country via the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
Total revenues amounted to $3.6 billion (4.2 trillion Iraqi dinars), at around $40.30 per barrel.
