Drydocks World wins new ISO certificate

Company recognised for high standard of services and quality of work

Drydocks World has been certified by ISO, the world’s largest developer of voluntary international standards, for the high standards of its services and quality of work, the company said in a statement earlier today.

Drydocks has won ISO 3834-2: 2005 for quality requirements on fusion welding of metallic materials, validating its capabilities in line with international welding standards and ensuring proper monitoring, documenting, testing and supervision of the welding process, the company said.

The new certification also ensures that welding operations are being implemented correctly and accurately through the development of welding procedures.

It guarantees the evaluation and qualification of welders and helps employees to identify their tasks accurately and improve their technical skills.

“Drydocks World winning the ISO 3834-2: 2005 is a result of the yards relentless efforts to improve the quality of services provided to the marine and maritime industries, consistent with the highest international standards,” the company said in a statement.

“Drydocks World has gained widespread recognition on various local, regional and international levels, which has led the organization towards achieving a prestigious reputation in quality management efficiency,” it added.

The group previously won the ISO 14001 certificate, by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA), the occupational health and safety certificate OHSAS – IPS 18001, a certificate for quality systems from the American Petroleum Institute (API) and others.
