Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura port, one of Saudi Aramco’s major oil operations centre, has been shut due to bad weather conditions, Reuters reports.
On Monday at 11.30am local time the port was completely closed and loading of cargo had stopped, two sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
Fast wind and poor visibility were reported at the port’s location in the east part of the Kingdom.Â
Meanwhile, state news agency SPA quoted Saudi Arabia’s Border Guard in the Eastern Province as saying that it had suspended shipping in the areas as a precautionary measure because of a sandstorm.
Reuters said that no immediate comment was available from Saudi Aramco.
