Saudi Aramco has not decided whether to increase its range of 212 oil and gas rigs in 2015, according to a news report.
Speaking at an industry conference in Bahrain, senior vice-president for upstream operations at Aramco, Nasser Amin, told reporters a decision had not yet been made, Reuters said.
Aramco deployed 210 oil and gas rigs in 2014, an exceptionally busy year, company sources had said to the news agency previously.
Commenting on the decision, Amin said Aramco would wait to see production demand.
“It depends on the requirements,” he added.
