UAE based fire protection and service company Haven Fire & Safety says demand for safety equipment is expected to grow in the upcoming months as the industry gains better HSE awareness.
“In our sector of the industry we are seeing more demand for smaller, cleaner, environmentally sustainable products that deliver the highest levels of reliability and performance, while remaining cost effective,” said Gerry Boux, managing director of Haven Fire & Safety.
He added: “Manufacturers are striving to meet these expectations from the global market and the use of more modern manufacturing techniques, environmentally responsible extinguishing materials.”
Boux also said fires are a major hazard in the industry, not just to people and property, but also to the production itself.
“The downtime caused by a fire is often far more costly than the physical cost itself. New technologies look to provide earlier detection of fire, faster with more efficient delivery of extinguishing materials and we see this trend going forward.”
