ADIPEC 2014 VIP Programme will see leaders in the oil and gas sector discuss some of the most pressing issues within the industry together with a number of local, regional and international breakthrough projects.
Established in 2012, Members of the Middle East Petroleum Club (MEPC) and senior industry representatives will actively participate in ADIPEC’s VIP Programme specifically designed to allow O&G professionals to connect with peers and colleagues.
As part of the agenda this year, member of MEPC will be briefed on boosting oil production in Indonesia, Mexico’s role in being a global oil and gas supplier.
A UAE Downstream Briefing will also take place to offer an update on the development of two key projects in the country — the $10bn Ruwais refinery expansion project by the Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company, also known as Takreer, and the expansion of the Borouge 3 petrochemical complex.
The ADIPEC 2014 VIP Programme, which will be hosted in a purpose-built theatre, will also cover innovation in technology through industry collaboration, and the important role of women in the oil and gas industry.

Offering insights in the development of the energy sector, the Pumps and Pipes: Innovation through Industry Collaboration discussion will bring together experts from diverse technology communities including engineers, physicians and aerospace professionals, to explore their own industry similarities in the hope of sparking solutions to problems inherent in all sectors.
Hosted under the patronage of the Mexican Embassy to the UAE, the Mexico briefing will look at Mexico’s efforts to reach its global potential in terms of oil and gas exploration and production.
Energy Reform: Transforming Mexico will outline both the benefits and challenges for companies wishing to take an active role and invest within Mexico’s oil and gas upcoming ventures and form strategic alliances with key players.
The country is one of the 10 largest oil producers in the world, the third-largest in the Americas after the USA and Canada, according to the EIA.
The ADIPEC 2014 VIP Programme will include a session on boosting and enhancing production in Indonesia, outlining opportunities for companies wishing to take an active role and interest within the Southeast Asian nation’s oil and gas sector.
